Ros Hathorn started Stabo in 2001 from a market Stall in Greenwich, London making and selling halter neck tops upcycled from business shirts. 2002 saw Stabo move to New Zealand where Ed Benn joined, they took out a lease on a shop in Wellington. The pair moved back to the UK and built their first workshop on the Fens of East Anglia where they started making screen printed leather accessories to sell at the London and Cambridge markets.
Since then the range has extended into t shirts, scarves, jackets and homeware. They continue to change and adapt to customer taste, what takes their interest and what they feel would be a challenge. Stabo take a keen interest in the making of all the products and have a hands on approach to every stage of the process.
